We use these black iron 2lb / 1kg loaf tins all the time here at the school. They are beautifully designed and very durable – even with regular school use they bake perfectly every time. Made by our friends at Netherton Foundry in the heart of England, we’re sure you will love baking with these tins.

My favourite pan. This is a top quality, heavy-duty loaf tin can make all the difference to your baking. It should be a pleasure to use and last for many years. This tin from Netherton Foundry in Shropshire combines hand-crafted style with professional performance, and we love it!

The 2lb / 1kg size is ideal for 900g of dough for my sourdough loaves and for cakes ,.  Hand made from black iron, the tin weighs 1.23kg and has internal dimensions of 23cm long x 14cm wide x 8cm high.

Each tin is pre-seasoned with Sussex flax oil for a completely natural finish (no chemical coatings). With everyday use in mind, these loaf tins will get better the more they are used. The coating can be restored as needed time after time, making the tin an especially durable and long-lasting piece to add to your range of baking equipment.
The tins can be used in all ovens including ranges, electric, gas, and wood fired. They have been designed to be suitable for high temperatures, so you can bake with confidence knowing they won’t warp or buckle.
Each tin comes with full instructions for greasing and seasoning the pans.
